Nothing much scheduled in the near future.

24 bands in 24 hours - CD Compilation!
-- updated 10.18.04 --

We were at Workbook Studios this past weekend, as part of the "24 bands in 24 hours" CD project. The CD, aptly named, recorded 24 bands (one each hour) for a period of 24 hours. Cool concept. I have to say, from what I saw and participated in, that the Workbook guys and associates, did one hell of a job! They were very organized and pulled the thing off! Very cool.

For our part, we recorded our song "Fragile and Wasted". It was very challenging as we had to record, add any overdubs, vocals and mixdown all within one hour. Whew! We pulled it off and were pleased with the results.

CD release is scheduled for Dec. 10 at Little Brothers (I think).

More info about this soon.
Headed to Toledo tonight!
-- updated 10.08.04 --
To play a show with Evolotto. They ROCK! Really heavy, yet articulate. At the Longhorn Saloon... I know, it sounds like there will be chickenwire set up, but we hear its a cool place. Lokking forward to it!
Cincinnati...
The gig at the York Street Tavern was cool. It was a pretty neat building, but with A LOT of stairs. OY.

Both Paperback and The Defrost Star had good sets. Looking forward to heading back down there soon.
It's been a busy month...
-- updated 8.21.04 --

Whew! seems busy lately. 2 weeks off then we head to Cincinati to play a show with Paperback. They are a rockin' group. More about this show later. I am tired, as we just finished playing with A Planet For Texas and Bob's Country Bunker. It was a pretty fun night. Both APFT and BCB are great bands! APFT's drummer is perhaps one of the fastest punk rock drummers I have ever heard. Just a killer group.

Earlier this week I had described Bob's Country Bunker, to a friend as, "Johnny Cash, but like if he were on amphetimines" . Tonight I was talking to BCB drummer Matt, and I told him about that descrip and he said something like "dude, Johnny Cash WAS on amphetimines!". I laughed , because he was right! But in all seriousness, I really dig these guys. They are like country rock with distortion pedals and surf sensibilities. We hope to do some more shows soon.
Headed to Youngstown this weekend...
-- updated 8.10.04 --

We are playing a show celebrating the 140th years of Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, at the Royal Oaks on Saturday August 14th, with BOB'S COUNTRY BUNKER. They are a smoking punkabilly/speedcountry band from Y-town. We are looking forward to a killer show and a lot of Pabst! Additionally, BOB'S COUNTRY BUNKER is headed down this way the following week, to play a show with us at Oldfield's on High, along with local agricore arsenal A PLANET FOR TEXAS.

Dang!
Evolotto added to the 7.30 show at Andyman's Treehouse
-- updated 7.26.04 --

Evolotto (from Toledo) has been added to the bill this Friday.

so the new order is:

Kola Koca Death Squad
Evolotto
Glare
TUML

Rock!
June was pretty busy...
-- updated 7.17.04 --

And we only have one show in July, but it's gonna be a doosey. Join us Friday, July 30 at Andyman's Treehouse, for a great night of Rock and Roll.

Kola Koca Death Squad kicks the night off with their 2 man Drum and Guitar assualt, followed by Columbus's own Rock and Roll power house Glare. We (TUML) will get fast and noisy for the last spot. All you could ask for from 3 bands -- or is it!??!?!!! maybe there is another band to be added? if you have been reading any of the local message boards, you might know the possible special guest from out of town that may or may not be on this bill. Check back for details, as this situation develops, ya'll.
Whew! Comfest was exhaustingly fun.
-- updated 6.29.04 --

It was a great weekend. We had a good set on Friday. Saw a ton of great bands. Time to recover.
Skully's rocked -- Comfest up next!
-- updated 6.15.04 --

The gig with The Patsys, Suffrajett, and The Favors was a blast. Good attendance and plenty of beers made for a veritable Rock Smorgasbord. We actually had some people subscribe to our "buy us a beer and we give you a demo" concept so we had some drinks for free. I think we might continue this scenario.

Up next, we play at Comfest in Goodale Park on Friday June 25, 6:00 pm on the "Off Ramp" stage. There is more info available at www.comfest.com. See you there.
Alas there is no official new CD realease. But there is still a Kickbutt show going on this Saturday at Skully's
-- updated 6.8.04 --

Even though Skully's decided that we were having an official CD release this Saturday, we are not. We are not totally sure how that came about. So if more rumors of that show up in the papers or elsewhere, please know that we are not releasing a new CD at this Saturday's show.

However and as usual, we will be handing out some 3 song Demo Disks we recorded a while back, at the Rubber Room, for the slim price of you buying us the beer of your choice. That's right. Buy us a beer and we will give you a disk. Pabst, Miller High Life, Guiness... it's all good. This is in no way sanctioned by or affiliated with Skullys at all - if you want a disk, you just give us however much money you want and then we will go buy a beer at the bar with that money, and drink it :).

We will be walking around with a handfull of disks, so if you see us with them and want one, just buy us a beer.

We will try to have a table set up too, but we ain't promising.

Disk or no disk, Saturday night is going to be a Kick Ass night of Rock and Roll. Get there early, because the Patsys will be kicking the night off promptly at 10:00 pm.

Followed by Suffrajett (NYC), then TUML and finally The Favors.

Hope to see you there!!
Suffrajett on tour with MC5...
-- updated 5.18.04 --

But they are going to swing thru C-Bus and play a spot on our bill, on June 12 at Skully's. Suffrajett are a pretty rockin' outfit, so if you didn't catch them the last time we played with them, in March, I recommend that you head to Skully's on June 12. We have put together a big bill that is guaranteed to ROCK!

The Patsys will kick the night off with their straight ahead rock stylings. Then Suffrajett, then yours truly and last but certainly not least, The Favors are going to close the night out, with their usual ferocity!

Look for some TUML Demo Disks to be available, and look for some new material to be performed. We should have 2-3 new songs ready to roll by the 12th. Stay tuned.
Our Apologies...
Go out to anyone who may have missed our set at Ruby's on April 3rd. Unfortunately, B.A. Baracus's drummer was late to the gig which necesitated us switching slots with them. But I know some of you were at the Clutch show at The Newport that night, so I am sure enough "rock" was provided for the evening's mis-adventures. And alas, Junior High Mustache, who played right before us, served up some fine "instrumental" music. Of their set, the "WOO" song was our personal fav.

In any event we plan on making it up to you with an early post- happy hour set this Thursday April 15th.

Yours truly will be playing an early show at Oldfield's on High, directly following The Bottoms CD release party. They are hosting their CD release during happy hour (a very interesting concept). We will go on right after them, at around 8:30 or so, but I recommend swinging by a bit early to catch some of their set.
Show coming up Saturday April 3
Brace your selves! Got a cool bill together for this Saturday @ Ruby Tuesday (not the restaurant chain, but rather the cool bar just west of OSU's campus). The address is 1978 Summit, in case you have never been there. If you have been there, then you know it's a unique place.

Anyway, Junior High Mustache will be kicking things off, around 10:15ish. They are cool guys with a cool sound and interesting take on the world they live in. That is why we like them!!

B.A. Baracus, pity the fools that get too close to the stage, as those individuals will certainly be engulfed with rock and roll mayhem. Probably on around 11:15ish.

Lastly, yours truly will be playing some new stuff, and hopefully exceding the 120 M.P.H mark where we left off at our last show. Hope to see some of you there with beer in hand.
March 5 show with Suffrajett/Favors show kicked A**
A big thanks to everyone that came out to the show. We had a great turnout. Very special thanks to Jeff Fischer for help with the flyers.

Suffrajett's set was very good. They arrived a bit late but hit the stage promptly and brought the rock. They litterally showed up and loaded their gear out of thier van, and onto the stage. Not a single bit of car coma at all. They went right to work and did a great job.

The Favors... well you know The Favors. Rock solid as ever. No nonsense, hard hitting rock and roll.
